While working at a local college in 1994 I discovered the Internet and my work life suddenly changed. I wanted a web page! After doing some research, I was able to put together a web page for our office and convince my boss that we needed to put it up on our Web server. She agreed and since then I have been developing and maintaining web sites.

Working at a college proved to be an advantage because it made available courses in Web design and development as well as print production which I enrolled in and continue to do so to keep myself fresh in the industry.

In 2001 I was selected by the Chief Information Officer at the college I work at to head up the design team to redesign the campus's Web site. It was a year long project.

Once the site redesign was completed I was placed in charge of developing the templates in order to maintain uniformity in look and feel campus wide.

After the templates were created I held training sessions for college staff and faculty to teach them how to use the templates to develop department as well as individual Web sites.

In addition to the above assignment I collaborated with the Applications Team leader to create their services and establish their hierarchy of links.

In 2004 I established Lodi Web and Print Design (formerly Web Design by Rita) and have worked for local businesses to develop web sites and print media. Additionally, I work with local non profits to establish their web presence as well as developing print media.
